  • 1894 Royal Albert was originally founded by Thomas C. Wild.
  • As T. C. Wild and Sons, the company succeeded quickly.
  • 1896 It took over a factory known as the Albert China Works. The "Albert" it was named for, was later to become King George VI and father to the present Queen Elizabeth.
  • Several generations of the family participated in the firm's activities over the years.
