Philip Dakin Wagoner was appointed president of the Elliott-Fisher Company after WWI. Elliott-Fisher became the parent of the Underwood Typewriter Company and the Sundstrand Corporation.

1981 Sundstrand acquired the Hydraulics business of Plessey which became Sundstrand Hydratec.
