1960 Acquired Anderton Springs, together with its associated company Dee-Kay Engineering Co[2], also Brett Daniels, Frigidaire dealers in North London[3], and Ward Brooke and Co, manufacturers of aircraft electrical components.[4]

1961 Acquired Dowell Hissett, metal finishing specialists[5], Wigan Richardson Cold Stores[6] and D. S. Fordyce and Co maker of machinery for the laundry and dry cleaning trades[7]. By the AGM in July had 9 subsidiaries[8]
