Silvertown Gasworks

1864 The Victoria Docks Gas Co built a works at Silvertown, on Factory Road, which had a wharf on the River Thames and was connected to the railway; the North Woolwich works was closed.

1908 The greater portion of the Silvertown Gasworks were offered for sale by the Gas Light and Coke Co; the riverside site was close to the Royal Albert and Victoria Docks and next to Tate and Lyle's refinery[1]
