1828 " 'Public Acknowledgement'. THE undersigned GEORGE GREGORY having used abusive language towards his Employers, Messrs. Sanderson and Watson, Park Gate Iron Works, near Rotherham, and having also burnt certain Plans of Grooves to be turned in their Rollers, makes this public apology, in consideration of their having consented to suspend all legal proceedings against him, which hereby acknowledges himself justly to have merited.
