MOBERT PRECHOUS, born at North Shields on the 11th January, 1876, died at Salisbury on the 16th July, 1915.
In earlier years he was employed on the construction of Barry deep lock, Manchester Ship Canal, Methil dock, Keyham dockyard extension and the Tyne pier works.
He was Chief Engineer for the construction of the dockyard and arsenal at Ferrol for the Spanish Government, receiving the Order of Naval Merit on its completion.
Latterly he had been engaged in building hutments for the troops at Grantham and Salisbury.
He was elected an Associate Member on the 7th April, 1903.
