1688 Hermann Mohll, a German craftsman and several associates came to London and Durham to set up a business.

1690 Established a sword making business. (Exhibit at Birmingham Thinktank museum)

1835 A descendant of Hermann Mohll, Robert Mole moved the business to Birmingham and established it there under the present style.

1914 Sword and matchet manufacturers. Specialities: swords, sword bayonets, lances, javelins etc; matchets for plantation use. The company made swords for the War and India offices, the Board of Ordnance and East India Company. [1]
