1835 Sale Notice: 'Iron Foundry.
TO BE LET, and entered upon immediately, the PHOENIX IRON FOUNDRY, situate in Middlewich, in the county of Chester, late in the holding of Messrs. Eaton and Co. comprising Moulding Shop, 48 feet by 30, Engine House, Drying Stove, Boreing, Turning, and Smiths' Shops, Millwrights' Work Room, Office, powerful Crane, &c. and a commodious Yard.
Also, belonging and adjoining thereto, Two convenient Dwelling Houses, with suitable offices, and an excellent walled garden, well stocked with choice fruit trees. The above premises are conveniently situated within a very short distance of the Trent and Mersey Canal, and the Middlewich branch of the Ellesmere and Chester Canal; adjoining the Turnpike Road from London to Liverpool, and within about two miles of the intended Birmingham and Liverpool Railway. There is a plentiful supply of excellent water conveyed by lead pipes to different parts of the premises. If wanted, the premises would be let for a term of years.
