1923 Obituary[1]

Mr. Richard Wood, mining engineer, Wigan and Southport, has died in Liverpool nursing home, the age of fifty-two. He was director of Messrs. John Wood and Sons, engineers ironfounders, and manufacturers colliery plant, of the Barley Brook Foundry, Wigan, and for number of years represented his firm in South Africa, being resident in Johannesburg. He leaves a widow and two children.
