RICHARD LAWSON LAFFERE, M.A.I. (Dublin), born at Londonderry on the 25th January, 1867, died of dysentery at Bandar Abbas on the 22nd June, 1909.

He was employed as a surveyor in British Columbia, Siam and the Federated Malay States, afterwards entering the Indian Public Works Department. At the date of his death he was in charge of the Persian Gulf subdivision.

He was elected an Associate Member on the 22nd April, 1902.
