REGINALD THOMAS GREEN CROSS was born on 15th December 1866, and served an apprenticeship in the works of the London and North-Western Railway at Crewe.

In 1893 he went to Assam as engineer and assistant manager to the Brahmapootra Tea Co., and during the following years he was engaged in a similar capacity on various tea estates. His death took place suddenly in Assam on 24th Slay 1920, at the age of fifty-three.

He became an Associate Member of this Institution in 1905.
