We record with regret the death of Mr. Rees J . Williams, M.I.C.E., Borough Engineer and Surveyor of Tottenham, Middlesex, which occurred suddenly on September 14th.

He had been Borough Engineer of Tottenham since October, 1938, prior to which he had been in local government service in several other parts of the country.

Mr. Williams was also surveyor to the Tottenham Education Committee and engineer to the Tottenham and Wood Green Joint Drainage Scheme.

He was elected chairman of the Royal Sanitary Institute in 1952, and served upon the Government advisory committee dealing with revision of building by-laws.
