1891 The Electric Installation and Maintenance Co applied to transfer powers granted under the relevant Order for lighting in Oxford to the Oxford Electric Co[1]

1892 The company commissioned its generating station at Osney, with a substation and the company's offices in Broad Street, Oxford. Contractors were Electric Construction Co under the supervision of Thomas Parker[2]
