1951 Nationalised under the Iron and Steel Act; became part of the Iron and Steel Corporation of Great Britain[1]

1956 New Cransley Iron and Steel Co was bought from the Holding and Realisation Agency by Stewarts and Lloyds[2]. New Cransley Iron and Steel Co already owned 25 percent of Loddington Ironstone Co; Stewarts and Lloyds bought another 25 percent; the remaining 50 percent remained with the Agency.
