1948 Tarran Industries changed its name to Myton Ltd[1]

1949 As a result of customer resistance, the company had moved from factory-built housing in England to traditional construction but the attitude in Scotland was different and the firm had continued with factory-built housing there. Also involved in civil engineering. Also had formed a subsidiary Industrial Joinery (Kingston) Ltd in November 1948[2]

1955 Taylor Woodrow acquired a substantial interest in the company[3]
