1841 Advertisement: 'MOORCROFT IRON WORKS. TO IRON AND COAL-MASTERS. TO BE SOLD by private Contract, an excellent Blast Engine, capable of blowing three Furnaces, two Hot-air Stoves and Pipes, one Forge and Mill Engine, one Engine for Rolling Hoops, two Lathes, four pair shears, and all the Machinery attached, with a large quantity Cutters, Rolls, Tools, and Implements necessary for carrying on the Iron Trade; likewise all the castings, Iron-work, &c. in and about two Blast Furnaces, Stoves, Foundry, &c The above to be removed from the premises before the 25th of December next. . Also one whimsey Engine, 26 inches, double-power, six-feet stroke, with 200 feet of 10-inch pipes, &c. &c. one ditto ditto, 19 in. four-feet stroke, with Boilers and Machinery complete; also a large quantity of Foundry boxes, 3, 3½ and 13-inch Pipes, Stone and Coal Waggons, Wood Pit frames, Rails and Sleepers, from Cupola, flat Pullies, Rollers and Posts, flat Chains, flat Ropes, and a variety of other things worthy the attention of any persons connected with Collieries or Iron Works. The whole may be inspected on application at the Moorcroft Iron Works Office, near Bilston. For terms apply by letter to Messrs. E. J. and H. Addenbrooke, Stourbridge.'[1]
