Mold Railway

Sanctioned in 1847.

This 10 mile line ran from the Chester and Holyhead Railway (C&HR) at Pentre to Mold with a branch line to the lime works at Ffrith. It was bought by the Chester and Holyhead Railway (C&HR) and opened at the same time in 1849.

The line closed in 1862 to passengers and to goods three years later.
