Sir Misha Black, OBE, RDI, PPSIA, Hon Dr (RCA) Companion, is a Royal Designer to Industry. He was knighted in 1972. He is senior partner in Design Research Unit and Professor of Industrial Design at the Royal College of Art. A Companion of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Sir Misha is Past-President of the British Society of Industrial Artists and Designers and of the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design. He is a Trustee of the British Museum, a member of the Advisory Council of the Science Museum, design consultant to London Transport and architectural and industrial designer for the Hong Kong Mass Transit Railway.
