The company was registered on 4 October, to take over certain businesses of manufacturers of wet and dry meters. These included:
- J. and J. Braddock
- George Orme and Co
- Sawer and Purves
- Automatic Gas Meter (1895) Corporation
- plus a number of patents
The Directors are:

- F. H. Orme
- John Miles - Bolton Corporation Gas Committee
- Joseph Naismith
- H. J. Davis
- William Jackson - Todmorden Corporation Gas Committee
- Edward Williams - J.P.
The services of Messrs G. H. Braddock, R. E. Braddock, T. A. Braddock, R. H. Orme, J. A. Orme, and John H. Purves (one of the patentees), who has been manager tor Messrs Sawer & Purves for years, have been retained.
1959 Acquired by Glover and Main.
