MARSHALL PETREE, born on the 19th May, 1866, obtained his early professional training as a pupil of Mr. J. Petree, Borough Engineer and Surveyor of Jarrow.

After acting as Resident Engineer from 1885 to 1888 on main drainage and street works, he was engaged in 1889 at West Hartlepool as Second Assistant under Mr. J. W. Brown, the Borough Engineer and Surveyor, on main drainage works and roads, and in the preparation of designs for a sea-wall and promenade. . . . . [more]
