Location - Ebbw Vale, by Cwm roundabout on the A4046, just south of the village of Cwm.

Impressive preserved steam cylinders and bedplate of a steam pump made in 1893 or 1895 by Hathorn, Davey and Co of Leeds for the Marine Colliery at Cwm (Ebbw Vale, Gwent).

10 ft stroke, HP cylinder diameter 36" dia, LP 68" dia. They worked vertical pumps lifting 50,000 gallons per hour from a depth of 1260 ft. [1]
