The London Galvanizing Works (West Ferry Mills), Westferry Road, was taken over in 1844 by the Patent Galvanized Iron Company. Trading as Malins & Rawlinson, this was a large undertaking which began life in 1839 as the Porthcawl Iron & Coal Company. [1]
