Magnus Hermann Volk

1880 Born in Steyning, eldest son of Magnus Volk

In 1901 Magnus Volk Ltd was registered to take over Volk's businesses (the electric railway in Brighton) in order to give financial stability.

1901 Hermann became a director of Magnus Volk Ltd, gradually taking responsibility for managing the railway.

1911 Engineer and manager, living in Brighton with his wife Ella Annie Volk 33[1]

1913 Hermann was particularly interested in aviation - he established a seaplane station near the railway line, of which his father did not quite approve.

WWI His father ran the railway during Hermann's absence.

After the war he seems to have been general manager of the Gosport Aircraft Co

1978 died
