1901 The Loch Leven Water and Electric Power Company obtained an Act of Parliament in 1901

Construction was deferred

1904 a revised scheme was submitted to Parliament and duly authorised.

1908 The entire capital of the company is held by the British Aluminium Co. [1]

1909 Work on the aluminium factory started in February.
