Limerick and Waterford Railway

Note: This was not the same as the Waterford and Limerick Railway or its successor the Waterford, Limerick and Western Railway.

1825 January 11th. Formation announced. [1]

The L&WR was a scheme emanating from the Hibernian General Railway Company in 1825. Despite several attempts, numerous engineering reports and a proposed takeover by the Great Western, nothing was ever actually done and its act appears to have been allowed to to lapse in 1836.
