1881 William Henry Knight, of Sleaford, in the county of Lincoln, Contractor for Public Works, was the surviving partner of the firm of Kirk and Parry; it was ordered by the Master of Rolls that the voluntary winding up of the Marine Aquarium Company, Scarborough Limited should be continued, but subject to the supervision of the Court[1]

1883 Responsible for construction of the railway links between the new Tilbury Docks and London; the docks were being constructed by an associated firm Kirk and Randall[2]
