JOSEPH TORBOCK died in April 1925, at the age of seventy-three.

He was closely associated with the iron trade of Tees-side. He was chairman of the Forsett Limestone Co., Ltd., and the North African Mining Co., Ltd., and a director of the Linthorpe Dinsdale Smelting Co., Ltd., and the Indian Manganese Co., Ltd.

He was elected a member of the Iron and Steel Institute in 1891.
