- Producer of Stone's Ginger Wine
- 1740 Bishop family set up their Finsbury Distillery, to which the Stone's Ginger Wine drink dates back to.
- 1826 Joseph Stone, the 13th son of a grocer in London, started work with Bishop and Harrington at their Finsbury Distillery.
- c1830s John Stone, Joseph's son, became an apprentice at the Finsbury Distilling Company.
- 1848 Stone set up his own wine and spirit merchant. He became an important customer of the distillers and his name was given to their Ginger Wine, while he also sold products under the Bishop's brand.
- 1861 George and James Bishop, owners of the company Bishop and Sons, signed an agreement with Joseph Stone who would act as their salesman, and they would have the rights to the Stone brand.
- 1896 Joseph Stone died.
- 1960s Bishop and Sons entered into talks with Gaymers and Showerings about mergers, though nothing further happened.
- 2008 The brands are now owned by Constellation Europe.
