1818 May 25th. Joseph Hulse of Amber Mills, Derby, married Martha Sykes (died 1826), the daughter of William Sykes of Edgeley, Stockport, at Cheadle

Also daughters Eliza, Ellen and Elizabeth

Note: The sons were younger cousins of Joseph Whitworth, Joseph's mother being Sarah Hulse.
