1901 Living at Fairholm House, Hamilton: John Stirling (age 35 born Hamilton), Motor Laniag(?) Manufacturer. With his wife Nancy Stirling (age 36), son John H. (age 6) and daughter Gladys A. H. W. K. (age 2). [1]

1911 Living at 57 Stanford Avenue Brighton: John Stirling (age 35 born Hamilton), Automobile Engineer and Employer. With his wife Nancy, son John Hunt Stirling (age 16 born Blantyre) and daughter Gladys Stirling.[2]

1917 Death of his son John Hunt Stirling KIA and buried at Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery

  • Received 2022/04/24 "I am the Great Granddaughter of John Stirling (born 1865 Hamilton Lanarkshire) - of Stirling's Motor Carriages. He was caught driving 'dangerously' at 14 miles per hour in Leeds and he also drove from John O' Groats to Lands End to prove it could be done. He later emigrated to Vancouver in Canada dying there in 1945"
