John Henry Reeves (1874-1925)

John Henry Reeves was born in 1874, and was educated at Farm College, Westmeath, and during his early career was associated with the Engineering and Stores Department of the Post Office in Dublin.

He served with the Royal Engineers during the South African War, and on his return was appointed officer in charge of the Edinburgh Depot of the Post Office Stores Department, and later of the Dublin Depot, where he acted as motor expert to the Post Office Department of the Irish Government.

He also acted as consulting motor engineer in the district.

He died on 27th April, 1925, in his fifty-first year.

He was elected an Associate Member of the Institution of Automobile Engineers in 1919.
