JOHN ARTHUR SWIFT, of Bank Chambers, Fargate, Sheffield, was killed in a motor cycling accident near Altrincham on July 13, 1922, when returning from a holiday in Wales.

He was the Yorkshire representative of the Cambridge and Paul Scientific Instrument Company, Limited, and was elected a member of the Institute on September 11, 1918. He was also a member of the Junior Institute of Engineers, and of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries.

Aged thirty-five, he has left a widow and two children.
