1916 Obituary [1]

JAMES RUSH DIXON, Borough Engineer and Surveyor of Woolwich, died at Eltham on the 6th May, 1915.

He was appointed to Woolwich in 1905, and previously he had had municipal experience at Carlisle and Walsall, and as Deputy Surveyor, and subsequently Borough Surveyor of Shoreditch, where, and at Woolwich, he carried out many important works of improvement.

He was elected an Associate Member on the 2nd March, 1897, and was transferred to the class of Members on the 9th January, 1906.
