1911 Obituary [1]

JAMES MASSIE, former Burgh Engineer of Edinburgh, died in that city on the 8th March, 1911, aged 72. He served the public authorities with signal ability for a period of 35 years, succeeding, in 1901, to the position of Burgh Engineer, with which were combined the offices of Master of Works and Tramway Engineer.

Mr. Massie was elected a Member of The Institution on the 5th March, 1907.
