1924 Obituary [1]

JAMES GREGORY died in India in April 1924, as the result of an accident.

He was educated at the Barnsley Grammar School and the Sheffield University. He served as under-manager at the Corton Colliery for five years, as manager of the Mid-Lincolnshire Iron Co. for seven years, and went to India in 1912 as mining engineer of the Bengal Iron Co., where he was engaged in developing the iron mines for that concern.

He was elected a member of the Iron and Steel Institute in 1923.
