James Frank Ochs (1867-1939), Stockbroker

1904 'OCHS, James F., St. Ann's Hill, Chertsey; 129, Mount Street, London, W. Car: 16-h.p. Napier. Was head marshal of the Kilcullen Corner control of the Gordon Bennett race, 1903; takes great interest in the Motor Volunteer Corps, in which he holds a commission, and upon which he has read a paper at the A.C.G.B. & I., in which he takes a most active interest, being a member of the "House" and other committees.' OCHS, JAMES F.- Born in London in 1867, and educated privately, and at Havre, France, Mr. James F. Ochs is very largely interested in colonial and Egyptian enterprise. As a pastime, his particular attention is devoted to electricity. He is one of the chief supporters of Signor Marconi, and has shown his interest as applied to automobilism by having a special car built for himself, which on one charge accomplished 80 miles, and this car carried the prize for electric vehicles in the Bexhill Races. Mr. Ochs' present car is a 16 h.p. Napier. He has taken a keen interest in the Club for years past, and has been present at all important functions.


1911 Living in 4 Sloane Gardens, London: James F. Ochs (age 44 born London), Stockbroker. With his wife Emilie Ochs (age 41 born Bayswater) and their daughter Claudia Ochs (age 9 born London). Five servants.[3]
