MANY of our readers will learn with deep regret of the death on Tuesday, May 24th, of Dr. J. W. Mellor, a ceramic chemist and physicist, who, for many years, was Principal of the North Staffordshire Technical College, and Director of the British Refractories Association. Dr. Mellor, who was sixty-seven years of age, died at his Putney home, and by his own wish his friends were not informed of his death until after his cremation at Golders Green on Friday, May 27th.

He was born at Huddersfield and was Educated at Dunedin and at Manchester....[more]
