1899 Obituary [1]

J. MANN THOMSON, of Dankeith, Ayrshire, died suddenly at Mentone on March 12, 1899, at the age of sixty-three. He had acted as chairman of the firm of William Dixon, Limited, of Glasgow, since the business was turned into a private limited company in 1872, and was well known in the iron and coal trades.

He was an original member of the Iron and Steel Institute.
