J. M. Karwatzki, MPhil, Graduate, was educated at High Wycombe Royal Grammar School and High Wycombe College of Technology and Art. In 1971 he obtained a Diploma in Advanced Mechanical Engineering with merit from Kingston Polytechnic where he was then awarded a Research Assistantship in the School of Mechanical, Aeronautical and Production Engineering. His industrial experience includes research into temperature compensated anemometry at Airflow Developments Ltd. As a result of his research into vehicle load simulation at Kingston Polytechnic he was recently awarded the degree of Master of Philosophy by the CNAA.
