1954 Bio Note [1]

Mr. Bywater was educated at Morley Grammar School and at the South East Essex Technical College. He started his apprenticeship at Robert Hudson, Ltd., in 1937, and was awarded a Ford Scholarship in 1939.

He joined the Ford Motor Co. in the Engineering Division on tractor design in 1942.

In 1947 Mr. Bywater was appointed in charge of implement design, and in 1953 he was appointed Executive Engineer, Tractor and Implements.
