The death is announced of Mr. J. B. HELSON, manager for thirty years of the Forges de la Providence, Hautmont (Nord).

Deceased was the inventor of a system of rolling flat circular discs for solid railway wheels, the making of which was considerably cheapened by his process. He was the holder of a large number of patents for his own inventions. The average annual profit made by the Providence Company under Mr. Helson's management was 14 per cent.
