1938 Large purchase of its shares by a member of the Cable Makers' Association[1]

1939 Disposed of works and plant (it is presumed as Sterling Cable Co) - the company became an investment holding company

1946 Ceased to be a subsidiary of Ismay; changed name to S.I. Holdings

1946 Name changed to Midland Holdings Ltd.
