Visit of the Iron and Steel Institute to the Iron, Steel and Engineering Industries of Manchester and District

Henry Pooley and Son Ltd., 108, Corn Exchange Buildings, Manchester,

Nine-tenths of the railway traffic of Great Britain is to-day weighed over Pooley weighing machines, and exactly too years have elapsed since Henry Pooley and Sons Ltd., equipped the railway companies with their first weighing machine, at the Liverpool end of the Liverpool and Manchester Railway — now part of the L.M.S.R.

Most of the railway companies in the world now use Pooley weighing equipment, as do very many industrial concerns. The experience gained by the long association with the railway companies in regard to their weighing problems ensures for present day users the necessary qualities of suitability, accuracy, reliability and durability.

Henry Pooley and Son Ltd., have been established in Manchester since 1836.
