JOHNSON, Councillor Henry; b. 16th Jan., 1869, at Birmingham; s. of William Johnson. Educ.: Bristol Street Wesleyan Elementary School (Benacre Street). Commenced business as wire mattress repairer, April, 1919; now Managing Director of Ideal Wire Mattress Co., Ltd., Bordesley Green, Birmingham. Entered City Council 1st Nov., 1928; failed to secure re-election, 1st Nov., 1931; re-entered Council, 1st Nov., 1934; Royal Navy, 1886-1894, 1914-1919; m. d. of S. H. Bailey, 17th April, 1897; three s. one d. Address: 104, Third Avenue, Small Heath, Birmingham.
