1946 Became a limited company

1947 Hayter motor-scythe produced

1955 Set up Hayters (Exports) Ltd

1957 Started producing domestic mowers

1964 Acquired Lodden Engineering

c.1984 Acquired by F. H. Tomkins[1]

1989 The name of Hayters (Exports) Ltd was changed to Hattersley Newman Hender[2] which was a company name previously used by Pegler-Hattersley after acquiring Newman Hender Group but before it was acquired by Tomkins.

1995 Hattersley Newman Hender was a manufacturer of cast iron and bronze valves, part of the Tomkins group[3]

2003 The business was closed and the business transferred to fellow subsidiary Peglers Ltd[4]
