Harry Turnley Jones was born in 1889, and received his practical training with James Carson and Co., Ltd., from which firm he proceeded to the Daimler Co., Ltd., as Draughtsman.
During the War he served as a Motor Despatch Rider in the Royal Engineers, and subsequently as a Commissioned Officer in the Royal Artillery, and on demobilisation he joined the firm of E. G. Wrigley and Co., Ltd., as Draughtsman and subsequently as Experimental Engineer.
In 1923 he joined Morris Engines, Ltd., first as Representative in Oxford and later representing Morris Motors, Ltd., in New Zealand.
He died on and December, 1933, at the age of 44.
He was elected an Associate Member of the Institution in 1922.
