"Lt.-Colonel HAROLD EDWARD TWENTYMAN was associated with the firm of Messrs. Henry Rogers, Sons and Company, Ltd., export engineers and contractors, of Wolverhampton, for fifty-eight years.
During that long period he was first appointed a junior draughtsman in 1888, and promoted to the post of head draughtsman in 1891. In this capacity he designed a number of cotton mills to be erected in Brazil, and was also responsible for the design of a great variety of industrial undertakings in this country and abroad, the latter being chiefly in South America. After serving as assistant manager for three years, he was admitted to partnership in 1903 and upon conversion of the firm to a Limited Company in 1908 he became director. For some years he had been chairman of the firm. Colonel Twentyman, whose death occurred on 26th September 1946 in his seventy-seventh year, was elected a Member of the Institution in 1906. He was a skilled craftsman, and had held office as Master of the Worshipful Company of Turners."
