1920 Company started business.

1929 Central Electricity Board placed contracts for 66kV transformers for the South East of England with Hackbridge Electric Construction Co and British Electric Transformer Co[1].

1933 Manufactured the largest transformer in the world (125,000 h.p.); filled with Ilo transformer oil made by W. B. Dick and Co[2].

1946 Hewittic Electric Co acquired the Hackbridge Electric Construction Co and the New Switchgear Construction Co. Name of company changed to Hackbridge and Hewittic Electric Co

1947 Hackbridge and Hewittic Electric Co Ltd incorporated as a public company [3].
