The object of the single boat davit is to provide a safer method of lifting and lowering lifeboats.
1913 The Graham Patent Davit Company Limited was incorporated as a private company, with capital of £3300, to carry on business as manufacturers of boat davits.[1]
1949 The company was dissolved.[2]
