Born in the USA.

1877 Travelled to Europe. Worked for Kopings Mekaniska Verkstad, makers of woodworking machinery.

1880 Moved to England and went into partnership with a Mr Atkinson, as Richards and Atkinson, making woodworking machinery at City Road.

1885 George Richards and Co established the Atlantic Engineering Works in Broadheath, to make machine tools.

1896 The company was taken over byTilghman's.

1918 George Richards identified as an Engineer, of The Outer Temple, 222, Strand, London. [1]
